Topo Cumulo

Location: Kaiser Permanente, San Marcos, CA

Description: Topo Cumulo is a suspended sculpture that transforms the topographic representations of the mountains near San Marcos into ephemeral cloud-like forms, unifying the beauty of San Marcos’ natural landscape with the open sky. The topographic clouds are composed of panels of dichroic acrylic that incorporate the viewer’s movement, color, and natural light as part of the work itself. This creates a calming, serene, but also subtly changing experience that reflects and transmits color reactive to the atmospheric conditions of the atrium space.
